The Karuna Project team organised an excellent Women’s Day celebration for women from Trombay and Kalyan colonies. The day was filled with exciting competitions and prizes to be won. The competition began with a quiz, followed by a few games, there was a mehendi design competition and yummy food stalls set up by the women. The competitions were judged by the Chief guest Smt. Sana Malik, Vice President of Rashtravadi Yuvati Congress and Shri. Franco Chairman of the Stepping Stone Charitable Society, Mumbai. The judges went around observing each of the mehendi designs and tasted food from each stall and rated them on a scale of one to five. There were three prizes to be won from each of the competitions. The women participated wholeheartedly in each of the competitions. With a lot of excitement and gleeful noises they enjoyed every moment of the day. The whole celebration was aimed at achieving the goal of equipping, empowering and impacting the lives of the women. Four women came forward to share their stories of impact made by the Karuna Project.
