Project Hope was created to bring dignity, opportunity, and care to the most vulnerable sections of society. What began as a small effort to feed and guide street children in Mumbai has grown into a multi-faceted initiative that supports education, healthcare, and community well-being. Whether it is helping children escape the cycle of poverty, supporting schools in rural Odisha, or assisting patients with critical medical needs, Project Hope is committed to empowering lives and building brighter futures.
Challenge
The communities we serve face some of the toughest struggles:
-
Street children in Mumbai grow up in environments of begging, violence, and crime, without proper meals, education, or safe spaces.
-
Families in rural Odisha often lack access to quality education, leaving children without the knowledge or skills to break free from generational poverty.
-
Underprivileged patients struggle to afford critical medical treatments, surgeries, and medications, leading to preventable suffering and loss.
These challenges highlight the urgent need for interventions that provide not just temporary relief but sustainable pathways to growth and dignity.
Summary
Project Hope works through three main focus areas:
-
Raah (Street Kids & Feeding Programme): Started in 2015 in Poisar, Kandivali, Mumbai, Raah provides hot meals, education, and counseling to street children and their families, breaking cycles of poverty and violence.
-
Education Support in Odisha: Project Hope supports schools in the villages of Samudra Buduni and Serango in Rayagada district by providing books, materials, and resources for classrooms from playgroup to grade 8, with plans to expand up to grade 10.
-
Medical Assistance: Through partnerships with hospitals, Project Hope helps underprivileged patients access treatment, medication, surgeries, and financial assistance for healthcare.
Together, these efforts reflect the core mission of Project Hope—to restore dignity, create opportunities, and inspire long-term change.
Impact
Project Hope has made a measurable difference in the lives of many:
-
Raah – Street Kids & Feeding Programme: Positively impacted over 60 families by providing meals, education, and counseling. One inspiring story is Rehman, a boy once found fighting on the streets, who is now a diploma-holder in Mechatronics Engineering and preparing for further studies in Europe. His family has moved off the streets, serving as a beacon of hope for others.
-
Education in Odisha: By supporting schools with books, learning materials, and teaching resources, Project Hope ensures that children from playgroup to grade 8 have access to consistent, quality education—with future plans to extend up to grade 10.
-
Medical Assistance: Partnering with a private hospital in Northern Mumbai, Project Hope has enabled underprivileged patients to access vital healthcare, from medication and hospitalization to surgeries and recovery support.
Each of these stories reflects a larger truth: with care, guidance, and opportunity, lives can be transformed.
