Another Big Day for Karuna

Another big day for the Karuna Project on 20.01.2023 the Team conducted a Leprosy Detection Camp at a residential school in Vajreswari. The team did a physical examination of 400 children, boys and girls in the age group between 6 to 16 years old. The team looked for patches, and where patches were present the team checked for sensation and swelling of the ulnar. The team was successful in deducting 3 new cases of leprosy, the girls’ ages are 6, 10 and 16. All three are put on a Multi-Drug-Therapy this would cure them of leprosy, prevent damage to their nerves and prevent disabilities in their body. The team would be monitoring the girls regularly.
