Today Karuna Project made new inroads into an area where there was no one providing any care for a group of 15 to 20 people affected by leprosy.
The Team has been building relationships with these people since last six to eight months. We started with a mindset to empower these families rather than develop them. We have managed to get ten women to form a Microfinance Group. Today we conducted a diabetes medical camp. The women from the microfinance group were active in organising this camp. The families are very excited to be associated with the Karuna Project.
