Celebrating Women’s Day
This time we thought of something new we could do.We have a support Group that is very special. There is a bonding that takes place amongst us. The ladies at this meeting share of how they are able to comfort other infected women worse off than themselves. As they have now learnt about HIV and how it spreads, they are able to comfort and help them through. The result is that many ladies are no longer living in fear.
We decided to celebrate ‘Women’s Day’ and everyone was very excited. We met at a mall and had some lovely chicken burgers and ice cream. There was a lot of fun and laughter along with sharing some of their life stories with the group. Though many of our ladies had to travel from far we had eleven women turn up. This was indeed a day where we celebrated our womanhood in a memorable way.
